Christina Fisher is executive vice president and chieffinancial officer for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), anational federation of 33 independent, community-based and locally operatedBlue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) companies. Today, one in three Americans iscovered by the Blue System.

Fisher oversees the Association's finance, enterpriseinformation technology, information security, enterprise program management andgroup purchasing organizations. She is also responsible for the NationalEmployee Benefits Administration, which manages over $15 billion in retirementplan assets for participating BCBS entities nationwide, and five ventureinvestment funds totaling over $1 billion in committed capital from 38 BCBSentities. These funds invest in promising emerging companies of strategic relevanceto the Blues.

Prior to joining the Association, Fisher was senior vicepresident and chief financial officer of the American Hospital Association,where she led strategic alignment and operational transformation of finance,information technology, meeting and travel services and facilities management.Previously, she served as vice president of finance for the Federal ReserveBank of Chicago, overseeing the financial planning and analysis functions forthe Chicago Fed and collaborating on projects with leaders across the FederalReserve System. Earlier in her career, she worked as a management consultantwith Deloitte & Touché and Accenture. Her consulting experience includedaudit and risk advisory services, project management, business processimprovement and information technology, primarily serving financialinstitutions.

Fisher holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from WashingtonUniversity in Saint Louis and a Master of Business Administration from theUniversity of Notre Dame. She is active in her church and community activitiesand is a Board alum of Girls in the Game, a non-profit that empowers girlsthrough sports, health, and leadership programs. She is also a member of DeltaSigma Theta Public Service Sorority, Inc.
