Sashi joined PMA Companies in May 2023 as Executive Vice President & Chief Underwriting Officer. She oversees all aspects of PMA’s underwriting, product management, and corporate distribution operations, including underwriting strategy and execution, commercial and specialty markets field underwriting, portfolio management, and product management and reporting.

Sashi commands more than 25 years of experience with increasing operational and P&L responsibilities at industry-leading commercial insurance companies. Prior to joining PMA, she was Senior Vice President, Segment and Product Leader at Chubb Insurance. Previous to her work at Chubb, Sashi was Vice President and Head of Enterprise Workers’ Compensation at Travelers, and prior to that served as Assistant Vice President and Workers’ Compensation Line of Business Manager for Hartford. Additionally, Sashi has held underwriting, program management, and product roles of increasing responsibility at Fairfax (TIG Specialty) and Liberty Mutual Insurance. Her experiences include production underwriting, regional underwriting management, line of business stewardship, product development and management, portfolio management, and corporate strategy development and execution. She is a recognized leader in the industry and has participated in several industry and nonprofit boards.

Sashi earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business, where she was in the Honors Business Program and double majored in Finance and Risk Management. She holds CPCU and ARM designations, and lives in Connecticut with her husband, two children, and golden retriever.
