Jennifer (Jen) Waldner Grant is AIG’s first Chief Sustainability Officer. In this role, she is responsible for leading the management and implementation of the company’s global sustainability strategy. She brings 25 years’ experience and leadership working on matters related to corporate citizenship and sustainability and has a passion for creating innovative and strategic initiatives that drive societal, environmental, and economic value.

During her 15 years with AIG, she has held positions of increasing responsibility focused on these areas, most recently as Head of Citizenship for AIG Life and Retirement. Additionally, she served as an Adjunct Professor from 2015-2018 at the University of Houston teaching business communications in the Bauer College of Business Professional MBA Program.

Prior to joining AIG, she spent a decade in citizenship roles at State Street Corporation, including Vice President of the State Street Foundation.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and earned a master’s degree from Boston University with a focus on community relations.

Jen is a board member of the Houston Community College Foundation, co-chair of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s Sustainability Committee, a senior fellow in the American Leadership Forum, serves on the Geneva Association’s Climate Change and Emerging Environmental Working Group and is a Girl Scout troop leader. She was recently recognized with the National Diversity Leadership Conference’s “Power 50 Award,” which honors women in the C-suite who endeavor to improve not just their departments and companies, but their communities as well.
