Medini serves as the Senior Vice President, Operations, Learning & Development (California Region) of HUB International Insurance Services. Medini possesses exceptional leadership skills managing culturally diverse environments, and in her role, provides leadership to various Operational and Learning & Development regional initiatives at HUB International California Region.

Medini graduated with honors from Sri Lanka Law College and was called to the Bar in December 1997. She was a practicing Civil Litigation attorney for four years prior to migrating to the United States in 2001. As a first-generation immigrant she encountered numerous challenges trying to start a new life in the U.S., which changed her career path and brought her into the insurance industry in 2002. Her career history since 2002 in the insurance industry has been on an upward trajectory as she continued to showcase her talents. Medini obtained her Property and Casualty License, earned her CISR, and CIC designations and grew her career path in Commercial Lines from an Admin Assistant to a Commercial Lines Account Executive from 2002-2011 while employed at Narver Insurance, Chapman & Associates, and Leavitt Group, and subsequently in 2011, she was promoted to management position at Leavitt Group.

Prior to joining HUB in 2017 through an acquisition, Medini was the Director of Operations at East West Insurance (subsidiary of East West Bank). Medini has achieved multiple leadership milestones during her current tenure at HUB from 2017-2023.

Medini currently serves as an Organizing Team Member and Pacific Region’s Super Region Liaison of the HUB Women Network, HUB International’s first Employee Resource Group.

Medini is an active member of the Sri Lankan Community in Southern California contributing as a Program Director and Master of Ceremonies at various Sri Lankan Community Events in Southern California, and currently serves as the Vice Chair of Visakha Alumnae Association of Southern California a California based 501(3) non-profit organization that serves underprivileged communities in Sri Lanka.
