IICF INclusion Champion

Leadership in Advancing Inclusion and Diversity

Nominations are due by April 30, 2023

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) celebrates greater diversity and inclusion at all levels within the insurance industry. We look to recognize leaders who are personally and visibly committed to the advancement of diversity of all kinds.

This prestigious award honors the extraordinary contributions of insurance industry professionals working to advance inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility within the industry and communities at large.

The Inclusion Champion Award represents the highest ideals and real world implementation of championing inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility through mentoring, talent development and advocacy to achieve a fully inclusive workplace. The award is bestowed by IICF biennially on those individuals who demonstrate leadership and advocacy for these ideals in the workplace, along with a personal commitment to community service. The award candidates were nominated by industry colleagues and undergo a rigorous review made by industry volunteers working in the DEI space.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Successful candidates should demonstrate the following behaviors in their nomination materials, questionnaires and interviews:

  1. Mentorship and Sponsorship
  2. Talent Development
  3. Influence
  4. Community Involvement

Qualities of an Inclusion Champion

Someone who is a mentor and sponsor, develops talent and influences others in their organization to advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion.

Someone who champions all forms of inclusion and diversity in the workplace.

Someone who is also personally committed to community service.

Previous Inclusion Champion Award winners were honored most recently in 2021, virtually, and the last time we were in-person in New York in 2019. IICF is proud to have honored industry leaders with the Inclusion Champion Award since 2013.
